What To Expect During Spider Vein Treatments
The nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant, or doctor injects a solution directly into the affected vein. The solution irritates the lining of the vein wall, causing it to “collapse.” With no blood flow through the vein, it is no longer visible on the surface of the skin. Sclerotherapy has been used in medical practices for more than 75 years.
